Power Point presentation: Fingerprint Biometrics
Procedure
Students will view Power Point Presentation of Fingerprint
Biometrics.
Students will respond to the following journal questions after viewing presentation:
- Before the presentation how did you believe
that a fingerprint image was stored for identification purposes?
- Discuss any technological devices that you have
heard of that are using fingerprint scanning technology, and why
these are beneficial to society.
- Where can you see future impacts being made in
fingerprint technology?
Differentiated Instruction
Modifications should occur according
to the school's inclusion plan and the individual student's IEP
Journal Questions can be modified to meet individual needs of each student
or course.
Handouts for power point may be made for individual students.
Collaboration
This lesson can be expand into history and english.
History can begin by looking at when and how fingerprint identification
came about.
English Courses can integrate technical writing skills by having students
write a report on how one of the new technological devices collects, stores,
retrieves, and verifies fingerprint information.
