the societal issues associated with using biometrics tools

Instructional Materials
What
is biometrics? handout, Power Point on an Introduction to biometrics
Procedure
Ask the students if they know what biometrics is,
have they ever heard the term before? Discuss their answers. Go through Power
Point . Give students What is
biometrics? worksheet and have them complete the worksheet. After
students complete the worksheet, discuss again what is biometrics, what
are the social issues with biometrics tools? Homework: Have
students blog using the scenario on Blog Question.doc handout.
Differentiated Instruction
Refer to student's individual education
plan. If students do not have access to a blog, instructor can print
out the
handout and give to students, or use the computer to type it into a
Word document. Instructor could e-mail document to students or give
them a media with the document on it.
Collaboration
Science and technology courses could easily
collaborate.
Author's Comments
If instructor is not familiar with blogging,
a journal entry or typed Word document could be included.
