Unit Objective(s)/Overview:

Students will research 4 basic biometric designs: hand geometry, fingerprinting, facial recognition and iris recognition.  They will use the internet and share findings with class.  They will then use knowledge of hand geometry and complete a measuring activity to classify and identify.

Biometric handout, computer, internet access, blog, metric ruler, 2 copies each of 6 various hands, Teacher Copy: Post at front of the room with measurements included.
