for students.
Procedure
1. Introduce vocabulary; tobacco, drug use, peer pressure, advertising,
nicotine
2. Read orally and discuss the Informational
page on tobacco
3. Students will use the internet site to
learn
about smoking and smokeless tobacco you will need to type in tobacco
and click on search .
4. Students will participate in a discussion
web to learn about the harmful effects of tobacco,
click on Student Led Conferences.
5. Students will find pictures of tobacco products, tobacco plants, and
warning labels
to create a Tobacco Bulletin Board.
Modifications:
Possibly do small group work on Internet exploration or do as a whole group.
