Procedures:

will brainstorm a definition for physical activity and physical
fitness.
Post on a wall near the map.

the relationship
of increasing physical activity to achieving physical fitness.

introduces
attractions in West Virginia that offer physical
activities that would improve physical fitness.

Teacher
chooses
four attractions and the physical activities in West Virginia that will
be used throughout the unit.

Everyone
locates
and plots the points for the four attractions and their home area on
the
large classroom road map.

Students
will locate
the four attractions and their home base on the maps in their journals.

Students
view the
introduction portion of the Powerpoint
presentation.
