Teacher
determines
laps/repetitions for relays to cover mileage to return home from the
fourth
(Summersville Lake) destination. Example: It is 49 miles from
Summersville
Lake to Crab Orchard Elementary. Students will walk 10 minutes to equal
20 miles. Students will jump rope for 2 minutes to equal 20 miles.
Students
will do each of these exercises (push-ups, windmills, and sit-ups) for
3 minutes to equal 9 miles.

for any health and safety concerns for the activities.

Teacher
can substitute
any relays or activities for the final competition.

Teacher
creates
a certificate to award to students for completion of the unit.

benefits that were covered in the unit.

calculators.
