VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLSDURATION OF LESSON:The student will use the compiled/acquired information to draft, revise, edit, and prepare the final draft of the Career I-Search paper.
90 minute class periodMATERIALS:Writing utensils and paperTECHNOLOGY TOOLS:One computer for each student, Microsoft Office, printer, and 3 1/2 - inch floppy diskTEACHERS NOTES:PROCEDURES:Verify that the School Acceptable Computer Usage form is on file.
Schedule computer lab.
Teacher needs to be familiar with Microsoft Word. If not, the teacher may need to complete a tutorial.
1. Students will work independently to draft, revise, edit, and prepare the final draft of their Career I-Search paper.MODIFICATIONS:2. Students will print two copies, one for his/her records and one for the teacher.
3. Students will submit a final draft to the teacher (on disk and as a printout) for grading.
Modifications will be made for those individuals with IEPs in coordination with the Special Education Department.ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES:Students may proofread their classmates' rough drafts and offer suggestions for revision.EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT:Using the Career I-Search Evaluation sheet, students may earn up to 200 points for this project.English/Language Arts: 11.49. 11.60, 11.61, 11.70, 11.72, 11.87, 11.94, 11.96, 11.99NATIONAL STANDARDS:
