Speaking, Higher Order Thinking Skills.
The
main focus of the unit is the introduction, identification and exploration
of basic geometric shapes. Attribute blocks, pattern blocks, tangrams,
mirrors and real world objects, as well as, computer software and web based
activities are used in the active learning portions of the lessons.
The unit integrates literature, mathematics concepts, writing, creative
expression, listening and speaking, and higher order thinking.
