Design A Butterfly T-Shirt With Logo

GRADE LEVELS:

Grades 9-12

SUBJECTS:

Science, English, Business and Marketing classes

LEARNER OUTCOMES:

1.  Research various butterfly clip art sites and web pages.
2.  Choose a butterfly clip art.
3.  Develop a logo to placed with clip art on T-Shirt.

DURATION OF LESSON:

2-(90 minute) Blocks/Optional

MATERIALS:

 Technology Tools
 Internet
 Colored Printer (HP DeskJet 694-C Printer)
 Avery Iron-on T-Shirt Transfer materials.
 

TEACHER NOTES:

 Allow students to be creative.
 Bring in sample T-Shirts for the students to view.
                                                 .
PROCEDURES:

Students have already covered the various aspects of butterflies in science and English.
The students are prepared now to go the the lab and research and design T-shirts using
Microsoft 97, especially PowerPoint

MODIFICATIONS:

Special Education students will be assisted by a partner.
 

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES:

Students will print copy of  T-shirt design and display them in the Art Studio Display window.
The students will print on iron-on transfer material the picture of their butterfly and then put them on T-shirts.
The students will wear the T-shirts.
