At the end of the lesson, the children will be able to:

    1. Recall the events in the Cubby Car story.
    2. Recall the definition of the words presented in the Vocabulary Extension.
    3. Choose a picture that begins with the /k/ sound.
    4. Choose the picture that does not begin with the /k/ sound.
    5. Choose the picture that begins with the /k/ sound and makes sense in the sentence.
    6. Name various means of transportation.
    7. Read a graph.
    8. Recall basic information about cows.
    9. Describe how they used the 5 senses in their popcorn experience.
    10. Demonstrate proper road etiquette when "driving" their "cars."
    11. Demonstrate age-appropriate eye-hand coordination.
    12. Demonstrate the correct strokes and formation when writing the Capital C and Small c.
    13. Demonstrate proper heel/toe movement while walking on the straight line and balance beams.

When you are teaching the letter c’s sound, be sure that only the /k/ part is said. Try to refrain from adding the /ah/ at the end.
