"We're Talking Turtles!"

Learner Outcomes: The students will be able to identify several types of turtles by their shell patterns.

Time Frame: 1 hour – 1 ½ hours

Materials: Turtle and Tortoise by Vincent Serventy; poster board; square, circle, rectangle, and triangle sponge shapes; brown, black, and green paint; paint brushes, scissors, ribbon, and pencils.

Technology Tools/Courseware:  Computers with Internet access, scanner, digital camera, and projector.

Enrichment Activity:  Turtle Habitats:


Evaluation and Assessment: Observing the students while painting and pretending to be their favorite turtle.
