Learner Outcomes: Upon completing this lesson students will understand the importance of converting inches to decimal parts of a foot.

Duration of Lesson: Three Hours

Technology Tools/Courseware: Calculator, computer work station, word processing program.

Teachers Notes: Students should have some experience with word processing software.

Procedure:
Activity 1    "Why Convert Inches To Decimals"
Activity 2    "How To Convert Inches To Decimals"
Activity 3    "Create A Foot/Dollar Chart"
 

Enrichment Activities:

Evaluation/Assessment:
Students will successfully create a "Foot/Dollar Chart".
Using a word processing program, they will enter the CHART  into the program and generate a summary of  today's activities for evaluation.
