sessions with additional sessions for students to explore Internet Sites

will need to check to make sure all Internet sites are available and plug-ins

will need to make shortcuts to Nursery Rhyme file folder on the computer
desktop of Internet sites to be used

will need to make Rosemary Well shortcut on desktop
Teacher
may want to pair students at the computers
Session
1
Procedures:
1. Recite together
"Humpty Dumpty", "Jack and Jill" and "Hickory Dickory Dock". Students
will practice clicking their index finger as the ryhymes are recited.
2. Using
data projector to review computer terms demonstrating them visually

3. Teacher will direct
students at computers to click on icon of Rosemary Wells (click
on games) to play matching game to practice using the terms above.
Session 2
1. Students
will open the Nursery Rhyme file folder on desktop by double-clicking mouse
as teacher models it using data projector.
2. Students
will open the Paint a Nursery
Rhyme icon as the teacher models it.
3. Teacher
will review the "back" and "exit" buttons.
4. Students
will select a nursery rhyme to color, use the back button to make other choices,
and use the exit button when time to leave.

will open the Nursery Rhyme file folder on desktop by double-clicking mouse
as teacher models it using data projector.
2. Students
will open the Rebus
stories as the teacher
models it.
3. Teacher
will review the "back" and "exit buttons.
4. Students
will select and explore the different activities on the selected site by using
the back button and exiting when time to leave.
Session
4
1. Students will open
the Nursery Rhyme file folder on the desktop.
2. Students will select and open a
nursery rhyme activity.
3. Students will select and explore
the different activities on selected site.
4. Students will exit the Internet
site selected when time to leave.
( May be repeated in further sessions)

All modifications
for each IEP and 504 document will be made
Students may be paired for activity
Student monitors may be available
to give assistance
Have additional mouse activities available
for students to practice
Visual items such as a paper file
folder, student desk, old mice could be used to identify the terms
Enrichment Activities:
Student may explore
additional nursery rhyme Internet sites.
Student may print selected activity pages with assistance.
Evaluation/Assessment:
Each student
will get the opportunity to browse Internet sites demonstrating the correct
sequence of opening, using, and exiting Internet sites being rated by the
following rubric.
