-
2-3 cups water
-
Sink filled with 4 inches of water
-
Old panty hose

School Home Page.

-
Parent Volunteers would be helpful.
Procedures:
-
Review Materials needed with students.
-
Students work in pairs.
-
Gather all materials needed to make paper.
-
Follow step-by-step procedures for making
recycled paper.

Remember making paper is messy. Students

-
The paper will not be ready until completely
dried and ironed on the first day. The preplanning of the poster ideas
will provide a good use of class time while waiting their turn. While
paper is being made, the students that are not directly involved can be
planning artistic ideas for the theme of their poster. The poster will
promote "Recycle and Reuse...Respect the Environment We Live In."
Modifications:
Teachers should determine
the pairing of students so students with special needs will be assisted
during lesson activities.
Enrichment Activities:
Research the scientific
make-up of paper, newspaper
recycling, and visit additional sites for
