Building Character Across the Curriculum
Grades K-3
Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science,
Technology and WritingThis unit is designed to introduce the concepts of character traits to elementary students, meshed with the content curriculum and the use of fiction and nonfiction literature. The curriculum areas used include reading/language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and writing. These lessons can be used as an entire unit or each separately to deal with each trait independently. These lessons can also be used based solely on their content information, without the inclusion of the character aspects.
