Lesson 4:  Know your decimal places!

Learner Outcomes:

  1. The student will be able to name the place values to millionths.
Duration of Lesson:  90 min

Materials: 6th grade math text book, Power Point presentation.

Technology Tools/Courseware:  Computers,  Office 2000, Windows Accessories/Calculator.

Teacher Notes:

The teacher will use the 6th grade math text Glencoe McGraw-Hill Mathematics Application and Connections and a Power Point presentation to introduce students to place values.
Procedures:
After some review with the aid of a Power Point presentation, the students will use their textbook and memorize the decimal places through millionths.  Assessment can be determined with a chapter test.
Modifications:
Modifications will be made based on those listed in student's IEP.
