This unit is centered around 6th grade science that deals with the basic cell.It incorporates media and teaches vocabulary using computer and book.
The unit also uses Math to calculate the number of cells on a dime and how cells relate to life.

- Students will understand the difference between compound light and stereoscopic microscope and the importance of cell theory.
- Students will acquire a spelling vocabulary from a wide variety of instructional sources.
- Students will use electronic editing as well as traditional editing resources ... and demonstrate the appropriate use of general reference source of a dictionary.
- Students will be able to name the place values to millionths.
- Students will be able to measure with a ruler in metric system.
- Students will be able to divide decimals by decimals.
