PROCEDURES
1. The student will identify appropriate employee behaviors
relative to
confidentiality by analyzing situation scenarios.
2. The student will prepare three slides using presentation
software
demonstrating do's and don'ts of confidentiality.
3. The student will visit a web site that
will provide them with information
about confidentiality.
4. The student will take the Occupational Work Ethic Survey
5. The student will visit The
Work Ethic site and gather information. After
completing their research the student will apply new knowledge into the
development of the Work Ethics Section in the New Employee Handbook.
6. The student will participate in classroom discussion
and brainstorm
about a time (in their own experience) when they found it was better to
accept responsibility.
7. Student will evaluate the outcome of their
brainstorming session and
decide whether or not they should have acted differently.
8. Students will plan a celebration.
Each student will bring various "minor"
items to the party. (plates, napkins, forks, toppings for ice cream)
The teacher
will tell the students that he/she will bring the cake and ice cream.
On "Party
Day, the students have everything for the party but the cake and ice cream,
which the teacher conveniently forgets. A classroom discussion will be
held to
analyze the situation and draw conclusions about the effects of being
irresponsible.

modifications to meet each student's needs.
ENRICHMENT
Students will visit the following Internet sites on social etiquette,
business protocol, and appropriate business attire.
