Daily Life of Ancient
Greece

Learner Outcomes:
Students will learn about
Ancient Greece, the people and their culture.
Students will use internet
to search Greece.
Students will be introduced
to customs and daily life of Greece.
Duration of Lesson: 2 class periods
of 45 minutes
Materials:
Technology Tools/Courseware:
Computer lab or computer
with internet access
Teacher Notes:
Schedule computer lab
according to school procedures. (These activities can also be completed
independently by scheduling in a one-computer classroom and completed as a
whole class with a projector.)
Copy the Student Worksheet for each student in class.
Procedures:
Students will be assigned
a computer in lab.
Students will access the Internet
and use the instructions on Assignment guide.
Students will complete worksheet on facts about Greece.
Students will write a 2 page
report on information learned. Give students a copy of rubric so they know how they will be graded on their
report.
Modifications:
Check IEP or 504 plan of students with special needs
to ensure that modifications suggested are followed.
Students who experience difficulties with any activity can be
paired with a peer tutor.
Students with visual difficulties can use a blue transparency
to cover reading materials
Enrichment Activities:
Students can
make a salt map of Ancient Greece and Modern Greece and compare the two.
Evaluation/Assessment:
Students will
be graded on the worksheet they filled out by
researching the Internet with the answer key.
Students will also be
graded on the report written by using this rubric.
