Learner Outcomes:
To provide ample time for the Business Instructor to grade the printed report for format, this session should begin approximately one week after the completion of Session Five.
Materials:McDougal Littel Literature and Language Handbook Level 9
Technology Tools/Courseware: Computer and Word Processing Software
Teacher Notes:
Students will use the handbook section of their text to review editing and revising skills. (The choice of text is up to the teacher; other good sources to use would include the MLA Handbook and WriteSource.)
Procedures:
20 minutes
Students and teacher will read and discuss this section of the text.
Students will use the remaining class time to proofread, revise and edit their Life Long Fitness Plan reports. Students will be asked to use both self and peer editing. Once final editing is complete, students will print and submit copies to teacher before leaving the computer lab. The teacher will be available for conferencing during this time.
Before the end of class, instruct students to begin on paper development of a power point presentation to be presented in Health class.
