Sun
Space
is afire
with bursts of bubbling gas,
colliding atoms,
boiling wells
and solar flares
spewing
from a burning star, the sun.
Ninety-three million miles away
this mass,
quaking inferno,
pluming arcs and bridges
roars;
a giant bomb
exploding
hydrogen.
