
Equipment: Electric fry pan with cover; measuring cups and spoons; stirring spoon; small plastic cups and spoons for dishes.Ingredients: 4cups water, 3/4 tsp salt, 2 cups quick oats, raisins, cinnamon, sugar (brown and white), milk
Directions:
- Bring water to a boil.
- Add oats and salt.
- Cook 5 minutes or longer, stirring constantly.
- Turn off heat.
- Cover and let stand a few minutes. (Take a walk "in the woods" while the porridge is cooking.)
- Let students add raisins, cinnamon, sugar and milk as desired.
