Go online at http://dlearn.wwc.edu/classes/info200a/wordintr.html
and read the article on "Introduction to Word
Processing." This article
gives a very brief history from the days of the typewriter to the current
developments in computers, word processing programs, and desktop publishing.
After you read the article, use Microsoft Word to type a one-page (double-spaced)
essay on the advantages of word processing compared to a typewriter.
Also devote part of your essay to any advantages you think a typewriter
may have compared to a computer word processing program. Save your
essay as Lesson 1 Enrichment. Print it and label it with your name,
date, and "Lesson 1 Enrichment." Then turn it in for evaluation.
