Unit Objective(s)/Overview:

The class will act as an engineering firm to design the athletic facilities for the new Ultimate High School.  Student groups will act as civil engineers to read and interpret topographic maps, use geometric formulas and spreadsheets to determine site preparation costs of building athletic facilities, and construct scale models.  They will act as environmental engineers to analyze and determine effects on watershed of new construction.  They will then make presentations summarizing their engineering study of the construction of the athletic facilities to the class and school officials.
