Oceans Lesson 4: Swimmy in the Sea

Learner Outcomes:
60 minutes total - Divide class into 2 groups (30 minutes each)
Materials:
Butcher Paper Glue Red Fish for each student, one black fish cut out of construction paper Swimmy or other selected ocean literature
Technology Tools:
Internet Accessible Computer
Teacher Notes:
Have fish cut outs for the lesson. ( a red fish per student and one extra black fish) Have internet access permission slips on file.

Modifications as specified by child's IEP. Peer tutoring for special needs students.

Evaluation/Assessment:
Can students complete the quizzes accurately? Can students use new ocean vocabulary in proper context? Can students work cooperatively to make a bulletin board? Can students retell the story of Swimmy including the beginning, middle, and the end?
