Teacher Notes:
Have a copy of Charlotte's Web video.

Design own test

Procedures:

• Watch the video, Charlotte's Web.  Take notes and think about how the video compares with the book.
• Complete a Venn diagram or other created diagram depicting the similarities and differences between the book and video.  May work in pairs to complete the activity.
• Complete a teacher created culminating word search on Charlotte's Web.
• Take a final test checking the knowledge learned about the book.

Enrichment Activities:

• Think of simple dialogue pertaining to friendship for two chosen characters.  Divide construction paper into four equal sections.  Use an ink pad and create own "thumbprint" characters for each section of paper.  Write dialogue in dialogue bubbles for their friends to share.
• Read or write own poems and recite them before the class.  May use "How Many, How Much" and "Friendship" in Shel Silverstein's A Light in the Attic.  Poems may be about friends, farm life, spiders, or pigs.  Type poem on computer and use graphics, borders, etc.
• Charlotte worked hard at the problem of saving Wilbur.  Brainstorm ways to solve common classroom problems.  Discuss ways to resolve conflict among friends.
