TECHNOLOGY TOOLS/COURSEWARE: computers with access to the Internet, calculators as needed
TEACHER NOTES: students will search vacation sites using web search engines or suggested sites in references
PROCEDURES:
1- Students will visit the
Internet site and research vacation sites.
2- Students will plan a budget
for their chosen vacation site, using their budget
worksheet.
3- Students will determine
a monthly savings necessary to achieve their chosen vacation site.
4- Students will orally present
their vacation choice.
MODIFICATIONS: small group work, extended time, oral reading as needed
ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES: Speaker from a AAA travel or a travel agent. Student write a fictional account or journal of their vacation.
