Procedures:
-
Students will be placed in groups
of 3-4 and will select a key individual from the Battle of Gettysburg to
study.
-
Student groups will research their
chosen figure at multiple Internet sites gathering information on the person's
role in the battle.

Students will complete an online
tutorial for Power Point 97.
-
Student groups will plan their
presentation on a poster layout sheet and will include the following:
Person's Name, a brief article explaining the person's role in the battle,
a photograph if possible, and any graphics that enhance the appearance
of the poster.

Student groups will enter data
in outline form in Power Point 97.

Student groups will create slides
with Word Art, Clip Art, pictures and sounds if desired.

Student groups will practice their
presentations.

Student groups will present their
slide show to the class.
Modifications:
Modifications will be made based on those listed in student's IEP.
Enrichment Activities:
Students will complete an Education World online lesson,
The
Cost of War.
