- Give the background of the music.
- Give the lyrics of "Hansel and Gretel" to students.
- Students will do a choral reading to the song "Hansel and Gretel".
- Listen to the music.
- Teach the words without music.
- Teach the words with music.
Day 2
- Give the background of the dance.
- Listen to the music to get an idea of character, quality, and speed.
- Describe and demonstrate the dance.
- Teach the steps.
- Do the steps individually without music, then add music.
- Partner the students.
- Use partners without music, then add music.
