Lesson 5:  Comparison of Career Areas

Grade Levels:  10, 11, 12

Subjects:   Social Studies, Mathematics

Learner Outcomes:
Students will understand the variability of job opportunities, salary, educational requirements, job responsibilities, work conditions, work values and context. within careers in psychology.

Duration of Lesson:  One - 45 minute class period

Materials:  Chalk or dry erase board

Technology Tools/Courseware:  Computers and PowerPoint for enrichment activity

Procedures:

Modifications:  None needed

Enrichment Activities:  PowerPoint presentation of comparisons; teams develop chart of job characteristics and then compare; evaluations of various websites used.

Evaluation/Assessment:  Students participation with knowledge of data presented.
