Directions
- How to make Sequencing
Cards
SESSION 1
Procedures:

Lesson Plan
2. Select a day when it is not raining, to go outside to plant
3. Give each child a pot. Each child will write their name
on his/her pot

SESSION 2
ONGOING THROUGHOUT
THE LESSON
Procedures:
1. Each child will observe his/her pot
2. The teacher will lead a "circle discussion" of each child's observations
and predictions
SESSION 3
Procedures:
1. The teacher will make sequencing
cards
2. The teacher may use the link "How
to make Sequencing Cards"
3. The teacher will use an overhead projector to illustrate the sequencing
steps
4. Each child will place their sequencing
cards in the correct order
Modifications:
All
modifications for each IEP and 504 document will be made
Teacher
may pick out and use 3 pictures to teach First, Next and Last
Assign
a child with a peer partner or small groups
Enrichment:
The
children may write a sentence about their observations and predictions.
The
children may write a sentence about the sequencing
cards.
Evaluation/Assessment:
The
teacher will observe and correct the steps of the hands on planting activity.
The
teacher will observe and evaluate each child independently placing the
sequence cards.
Use the following rubric:
| Correct - Independently - 2 |
Correct - With Cues - 1 |
Incorrect - Reteach - 0 |
The
teacher will listen and evaluate each child's independent observations
and predictions. Use the following rubric:
| Independent observation and prediction - 2 |
Cued observation and prediction - 1 |
Reteach observation and prediction - 0 |
