Learner Outcomes

• The student will choose one character trait to strengthen and outline a plan to accomplish this.

• 45 minutes

• Student copy of Character Traits Inventory per student
• 1 3.5K disk per student

• Review each inventory prior to class period
• Review teacher script
• Remember to prepare the modeling strategy listed in the teacher script  prior to class period
• Reserve computer lab for journal entries

• Teacher will read script and show students how to download journal entry page at appropriate time in script.
• Teacher will model choosing a trait and planning a strategy.
• Students will choose a character trait, plan a strategy, and outline it on their journal entry page, consulting with the teacher as necessary.

• Students with a writing disability may choose to work with a parent or with their instructional aide.

• Have books available to be checked out, such as "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens: The Ultimate Teenage Success Guide" by Sean Covey.  "Don't Pop Your Cork on Mondays! The Children's Anti-Stress Book" by Adolph Moser, Ed.D.

• Evaluate as outlined in the teacher script
