Unit Synopsis:
The goal of this unit is to foster a greater appreciation for the concept of patriotism. Through activities that involve the American Flag, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangled Banner, students will gain a sense of citizenship. They will discover the origin of Veteran's Day and develop an appreciation for American Veterans... men and women who contributed wherever they were needed in wartime.
