Procedures:

Students will complete online tutorial
for PowerPoint 97. (In
and Out of the Classroom with PowerPoint 97)

Students will focus on the Civil War
era figure they chose at the beginning of the unit.

Students will research their chosen
figure at multiple Internet sites and develop appropriate questions.
-
Students will take notes on their research
and add appropriate sites to their bookmark folders.
-
Students will plan their presentations
on a layout sheet.
-
Students will enter their data in outline
form in PowerPoint 97.
-
Students will develop slides, with
builds, transitions, graphics, and sounds.
-
Students will develop a list of sources
used in their research and cite them appropriately.
-
Students will preview their presentations
and rehearse timings.
-
Students will present their slide show
to the class.
