  1.  If a queen honeybee lays 2000 eggs per day from March 1st to May 31st, how many eggs has she laid?
 

  2.  If the old queen lays eggs for 16 future queens and 1/2 are killed by the new queen while still in their cells, and 1/4 die while fighting the new queen, how many rival queens has she killed?
 

  3a.  If a hive has 51,000 workers when the old queen leaves to find a new home, and she takes 1/3 of the workers with her, how many workers fly away with the old queen?
