for students to research the interaction between plants, animals, and the
environment

Extend chart to include more animals
and plants with which students may be more familiar
Procedures:

Discuss the message Chief Seattle
of the Northwest Nation gave our nation

Discuss a web and how it would look.

Using a projection device display
template of EARTH with Kidspiration.
Have students group plants, animals, and other parts of the environment.

Have students choose one item from each
category, draw a picture, and write how each item related to the Web of
Life using a word processing program.

Share students work and discuss what we
can do to continue the Web of life.
Modifications:

Have students work in pairs

Have students only use pictures
to tell about the relationships.
Enrichment Activities:

Have students work in groups of
three to write a short skit about the relationship in the web.
