sure each student has an Acceptable Use Policy on file
Secure
access to computer lab
Prepare
duplicated copies of the "Healthy Fridge Quiz"
for each child
Procedures:
-
Students will
go to Healthy Fridge site.
Click on "Good Nutrition"; click on "What Should I Eat?". Teacher
will lead class in discussion about choosing healthy foods instead of less
healthy foods.

Students will
click on the "back" key. Click on "Just for Kids". Click on
Kids' "Healthy Fridge Quiz". Students will take the self-checking
online quiz.

Students will
click on the "back" key. Click on "Just for Kids". Click on
Seek-A-Word Game. Students will complete the game and check their
answers online.

Using Microsoft
Word, the students will write a composition about how food choices affect
their appearance and self-esteem.

Teacher will
use rubric to evaluate the composition.

At the conclusion
of the lesson students will take the "Healthy
Fridge Quiz" again on paper.
