SUBJECTS: Mathematics, Language Arts, Vocational Skills

DESCRIPTION:  This unit will allow students to explore the demoninations and values of  the different American coins and bills. Students will also count and make change.  Students will learn to work within a budget, compute sales tax and write checks.

LEARNER OUTCOMES: Students will be able to count money and count change back to a customer orally.  The students will be able to design and work within a limited budget.  Students will be able to compute sales tas and write checks.

DURATION OF LESSONS:  Each lesson will take 2 -3 days.  The entire unit will take 2 -3 weeks.
