·Students will be able to create an eight-slide PowerPoint on any topic related to the Civil War.

·Students will practice listening skills.

·Students will practice technology skills and applications.

·Students will be able to present their cooperative PowerPoint to the class.

·Students will be able to access internet to gain information.

Duration of Lesson:

9 class periods in three days (45 minute period)

Materials:

Teacher Notes

This activity will be a cross curriculum project.  It will utilize art class, music class, and either Language Arts or Social Studies class.  Students will work on their presentation in each of the classes.
This will be a teacher assigned cooperative learning lesson, so make sure to group students of various abilities.
Teacher will need book ability to use computer with LCD connections for Power Point.
Students will need a working knowledge of PowerPoint.

·May need to adjust classes to work cross curriculum.

·Make sure cooperative groups are varied abilities and assigned by the teacher.
