Activity 1: Sugar Cubes
    Students will access Volume and Surface Area and follow procedures to build 3-dimensional figures and to determine their volumes.  The sugar cubes may also be used to fill small boxes or other containers.  Student groups will review their written formula plan from Activity 1 and make any needed changes to reflect their learning from the sugar cube activity. Whole class discussion should further clarify procedures for finding volume of various containers.
