  1. Access www.yahoo.com and click on Sports.
  2. You will see a list of sports.
  3. Click on Athletes.
  4. Click on Basketball.
  5. Click on NBA.
  6. You will see a list of players.
  7. Scroll down and click on Michael Jordan.
  8. You will see a long list of Michael Jordan web sites.
  9. Scroll down to the Michael Jordan homepage.
  10. Click on his homepage.
 

HUNT 1: THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS SCAVENGER HUNT IS TO

DETERMINE THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE IN

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA.

  1. Access www.yahoo.com.
  2. Click on Weather. It is located just below the Yahoo search box.
  3. Find the temperature in Myrtle Beach.
  4. Write your answer on your own paper.
 

HUNT 2: THE OBJECTIVE OF SCAVENGER HUNT 2 IS TO TEACH THE STUDENT HOW TO FIND CURRENT NEWS STORIES.

  1. Access www.yahoo.com.
  2. Find the name of a major national newspaper.
  3. List the title of today's lead story in that paper.
  4. Identify the career of one person discussed in the story.
  5. Write your answer on your own paper.
 

 

HUNT 3: IN SCAVENGER HUNT 3, THE STUDENT WILL FIND AND

READ A LIST OF QUESTIONS WHICH ARE ILLEGAL FOR

AN EMPLOYER TO ASK A PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE IN

THE INTERVIEW PROCESS.

  1. Access www.yahoo.com.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Yahoo homepage.
  3. See section titled Other.
  4. Click on Employment.
  5. Click on Advice.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
  7. Under interview questions, click on Illegal questions.
  8. List three examples of questions which are illegal
  9. Write your answers on your own paper.
 

HUNT 4: SCAVENGER HUNT 4 WILL TEACH THE STUDENT

HOW TO USE YAHOO TO FIND DIRECTIONS AND

DETERMINE MILEAGE FROM ONE DESTINATION TO

ANOTHER.

  1. Access www.yahoo.com.
  2. In the top section of the Yahoo screen, click on Maps.
  3. A box will appear on the screen.
  4. Click on Driving Directions.
  5. Under Starting Address, type in your own street address or route number.
  6. Under Destination Address, type in the address of your school.
  7. Click on Get Directions.
  8. You will see a map with the route marked from your house to your school.
  9. Read the map information carefully and determine how many miles it is from your home to your school.
  10. Record your answer on your own paper.
