Procedures:
1.Lead a discussion about tall tales. Ask the following types of questions:

2. Read aloud Pecos Bill  by Steven Kellogg. Pecos Bill Online
3. Have students write and illustrate one exaggeration from the book.
4. View PowerPoint presentation, Pecos Bill A Super Hero , Slide 1-4. Stop. Let students share exaggerations before slide 5. Then complete PowerPoint presentation.
5.Conclude lesson by reviewing characteristics of a tall tale.
