Description Students at this age generally do not have an interest
in obtaining and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The
lessons in this unit will not only make the students
aware of the disadvantages of an unhealthy lifestyle,
but also teach the advantages of daily exercise and
proper nutrition. The students will learn the role
that genetics plays in their physiological makeup.
They will also understand that what they do to their
bodies now will affect them as adults. Parental
involvement will be encouraged.
