| Description | This unit is designed as a long term project. The initial
activity of the unit will involve students acquiring appropriate email skills and developing electronic penpal communication with students of the same or nearly the same grade level in Australia. The students will use information they obtain from this communication along with Internet research and traditional research to develop projects and eventually a student-created web site to display their acquired knowledge. Students will also develop mini-social studies fair projects, travel brochures, and plan a trip to Australia. | |
