Description The main focus of the unit is the reinforcement of the basic
geometric principles, the introduction of angles, coordinate
graphing, area and perimeter, polygons, and TI 73 graphing
calculators. Mathematical concepts are introduced through the
integration of math and literature. Building on our first unit,
Shape Up with Geometry, we have reinforced basic vocabulary
and continued to provide the necessary instruction in
geometric principles and hands - on activities to better
prepare students for more advanced instruction.
