| Description | Interdisciplinary lessons are based on the reading of Eva by
Peter Dickinson. This very readable novel(RL 6-7) becomes the jumping-off point for discussion, written response, and activities on population growth, use of resources, habitat destruction, and ethical use of animals by human society. Students then apply their understanding of problems introduced in the book and examined further through experience and research. This variety of teacher and/or student-selected activities includes web page design, power point presentation, written composition, and debate to demonstrate student understanding of and their response to issues related to the story and to real life. | |
