| Description | This unit is developed around the experience portrayed
in the diary that was written by Anne Frank during the period she and her family were in hiding as a result of the Nazi persecution of the Jews. The purpose of this unit is to involve students in the discovery of the importance of this period of history and the impact it had on individuals and particular groups of people. The students will examine persecution and its results. Through the activities in the lessons, they will more fully understand the setting in which Anne and her family were hiding and the reasons they found it necessary to go into hiding. The students will use the Internet, multimedia software and traditional library references as research tools and computer technology to generate graphs and presentations. | |
