| Description | The five-lesson interdisciplinary unit engages students in
a variety of activites that lead them to the Pythagorean Theorem and provide them an opportunity to apply the theorem. Students write conjectures, summarize material, express conclusions in sentence form, research the development of the theorem and compose an informative paragraph. The computer is utilized to access sites containing interactive Java Sketchpad activities and download a program for the graphing calculator. Students use Excel to create a spreadsheet to verify Pythagorean triples. | |
