| Description | The purpose of this unit is to introduce the students to novel reading as well
as to explore the two countries of India and England. This unit will be used in conjunction with a 2nd unit (Around the World with The Secret Garden) It provides motivating and meaningful thinking activities that prompt students to think critically about the issues of literature. Students are motiviated to stretch their reading skills and to wrap their thinking around a task, finding ways to apply what they have learned to their own life. Whole ideas are cxplored in activities involving different subject areas. These send students investigating individually, in pairs, in small groups, and as a class. | |
