Description This unit is a compact study of coal that can be easily adapted to any
grade level. The unit encompasses the following topics of study: coal
formation, types of coal, types of mining, terminology associated with
coal and coal mining, the coal miner, and the history of coal. Students
will learn more about their heritage and the influences of coal upon
their everyday lives.
The 21st Century Tools Computer with internet connection, LCD data projector, Digital Camera, Diskettes, Printer, Microsoft Office 2000 (Power Point, Word, Excel), Power Point Presentation, Coal Country Software, Video Camera and supplies,
